36 and 40 count Linen: Edinburgh and Newcastle

Edinburgh and Newcastle Linen are both 100%  linen. elegant, They are fine and soft evenweave fabrics with the slightly irregular structure of the flax fibre. They are both perfectly ideally suited for counted stitching work or fine embroidery.

A magnifier or similar is recommended when using this fabric.

Edinburgh linen is 36 count and Newcastle linen is 40 count.

A Fat Quarter measures 50cm x half the width of the fabric. The fabric is usually 140cm wide, so the fat quarter when cut will be approximately 50cm x 70cm.
