DMC Perle 8 Ball Art 116/8 is a highly mercerized, twisted, non-divisible, lustrous 100% cotton thread. The thread is soft and silky, and does not fluff or kink,

Each DMC Perle 8  ball has approx 80 metres of thread (87 yards).  The size of the thread is similar to 3 strands of DMC stranded embroidery thread.  The colour numbers transfer between DMC Stranded Cotton and the Perle Cotton, though the match may not be exact.

DMC Perle 8 thread is available in 206 solid and 32 variegated colours. The variegated shades have a “V” after the colour number.
