Anne Cloth Afghan fabric

Anne Cloth Afghan fabric is a beautiful lightweight afghan fabric. An adorable looking cloth and very easy to stitch.

Small woven double-lines divide this afghan into a chessboard arrangement of 7 x 4 squares. The edges of this fabric is not finished. It can be finished either with a hem or with a frayed knotted fringe.

Anne Cloth Afghan fabric is often used for baby shawls and blankets, some stitchers recommend washing the fabric and any proposed lining fabric before stitching to help eliminate any potential problems later.

A completed afghan is not always given a backing. You can do the stitching as tidily as possible, working ends in carefully without knots and not carrying the threads across the back too far.
