Dahlia Cross Stitch Pattern – Tinctorial Plants Collection
This red dahlia is a cross stitch embroidery pattern chart is derived from the spectacular Sajou project dedicated to Tinctorial Plants in the Museums and Heritage Collection. The latin name of this flower is credited to the Swedish botanist Andreas Dahl. The plant is native to Mexico and arrived in Europe at the end of the 18th century. The petals of the darker flowers create gorgeous violets, garnets and dark reds.
